Enter the Mediterranean Room and be welcomed by our colorful Taverna Table. This massive wood table warmly displays the todays fresh offerings.
Sharing is encouraged as this is an integral part of the hospitality created by the Taverna Table.
Traditional "Mezedethes", or appetizers including tzatziki , melitzanosalata , tyrokafteri (whipped feta cheese, with hot peppers and olive oil dip), spanakopita , tyropita , and Dolmadakia - an aromatic mixture of rice, parsley, tomatoes, & mint tighltly wrapped inside tender grape leaves and served with lemon. ... all gracefully plated and served along with our House Specialty Warm Pita Bread ... Yes Pita Bread ... thick hot loaves straight form our bread oven and brushed with our Family Produced Extra Virgin Olive oil.
Imported Olives, Aged Artisan Cheese imported from Mediterranean Countries, and Cured meats are delicately displayed to "wet the appetite". In addition, locally grown seasonal produce like heirloom tomatoes, baby artichokes, asparagus, beets, and dandelion greens are all dished up and brought to your table with love and affection. Watch Sergio and Marcelino prepare our signature "Village Salad" fresh to order topped with a wedge of tangy barrel aged Feta Cheese.
And the best for last ... freshly baked pastries like Baklava, Galatobouriko, and our original "Karidopita" - Orange spiced Honey Walnut Cake - remind you to save room for dessert. Platters of House Baked cookies and biscotti beg to be dipped in fabulous Cappuccino or "Greek Coffee" ... prepared right at the Taverna Table.
