  Our Menu demonstrates a feast of Mediterranean culinary delights. Mediterranean Food reflects ancient trading ties to Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Phoenician, Greek, Arab, Persian and Turkish civilizations. Seafood prepared with olive oil, tomatoes, garlic, onions and citrus -- and enriched by the flavors of wine & herbs. Showcasing cooking styles centuries in the making. What distinguishes traditional Mediterranean cuisine are the unique ingredients of the highest quality and simplicity of preparation.

The time of day when the Greeks gather around a table to enjoy a meal, is a time held in reverence by all inhabitants of European countries. Sharing a meal either at home or a taverna, is a deeply rooted social affair.  The ambiance is very relaxed, informal and unpretentious.  Food preparation, on the other hand, has its own sacred rules.

We rely on simple, fresh and flavorful ingredients to produce foods that are prepared fresh-to-order. Balancing traditional and modern cooking techniques, our experienced chefs recreate the evocative tastes and textures of Mediterranean cuisine. We place an emphasis on the abundant use of fresh vegetables and herbs in our dishes. Due to the mild climate in the Mediterranean region, most vegetables are grown outdoors and are very tasty and full or aroma. The herbs collected on the Mediterranean mountainside are renowned for their taste, scent, and healing properties. When enjoying our dishes, you will notice the aroma of fresh oregano, thyme, parsley and rosemary. Our Aria extra virgin olive oil is used exclusively in all of our cooking and is offered complimentary to our guests as a condiment on every table. This first pressed oil is produced from olives grown in the sun rich soil on the island of Crete. Considered to be one of the finest olive oils in the world, this healthy oil is the basis of much of our cuisine.

Hearth baked pita bread, bowls of imported olives and a lavish array of easily shared hot and cold dishes known as Mezethes begin to tease the palate. Salads, hand crafted at the Taverna Table, are delicately assembled using only the finest produce available. Open flame grilled fresh fish, poultry, lamb, and lean beef are accompanied by signature side dishes. Finally, sweets and pastries prepared fresh daily, distinguish Ernie's as a truly authentic Mediterranean restaurant.
